Jon Trickett MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister without Portfolio, responding to reports that UKIP will commit to Conservative economic plans, said:

“This is further proof that UKIP don’t stand up for working people. They support increased privatisation in the health service, bigger bonuses for bankers and another tax cut for millionaires – and now we hear they’re also signed up to extreme Tory plans which would take spending back to the levels of the 1930s, before there was an NHS.

“It couldn’t be much clearer: you vote UKIP, you get the Tories.”
